Sinulog festivity is an event that everyone should have fun and excitement. However, some of the Filipino youth (Cebuanos or from other provinces) seems to over kill their fun and excitement. There was a news on Monday after the Sunday Sinulog of some wasted youth are still sleeping in the streets after their Sinulog celebration. They are still drunk, sleeping, and intoxicated. Drinking in festival can't be avoided, but they should be taken it slowly. Too much drinking can cause this youth sleep in the streets because their body are so wasted. I do celebrated Sinulog, drink, dance but not to extent of sleeping in the street the whole day. Sometimes you have to learn to control yourself or people might say shame on you.

There is also physical and mental abuse and sexual assault. PTSD can also be due to trauma from an accident or disaster. It doesn't matter what age you are post trauma stress can occur at any age. When my doctor first told me it sounded like I had post-traumatic stress from domestic violence, one of the first things they talked with me about are "triggers" and "coping skills". There are situations I still have a difficult time with. Not that long ago, I went to see a doctor and he suddenly grabbed my hands. I immediately started to shake and pulled my hands away. When he asked about the shaking I explained it was due to domestic violence. He apologized for touching me and asked if I'd like to have someone else oversee my case. This is a bit of a random post I know but it's something I was thinking about when cleaning my teeth this morning. When you clean you teeth do you just brush them or do you think about how to brush them when you are brushing them? I have an electric toothbrush and it stops and starts every 30 seconds so that I know to move onto the next area of my mouth, this means that I spend 30 seconds on each quarter of the mouth. When cleaning my teeth, I really concentrate on making sure that I start from the back slowly move the toothbrush over every tooth on the inside and then I do the same on the outside. I am normally able to go over every tooth at least twice to ensure that each tooth get sa really good clean. Do you concentrate this much when brushing or do you just brush away without giving it much thought?

Once I was student, it was often faced various difficult people and I was unable to decide about my reaction. Once I mentioned it to my Dad during a Sunday evening, he smiled and asked me to sit down and listen to him carefully. He said, "You must be polite and nice to all people in day to day dealing. Listen to them attentively and talk to them politely with a smile on your face." "Okay Dad", I assured him. "Having said that, I must advise you be tough like rock once it comes to principles. Never ever compromise on your principles as to my view that is what character is", Dad said. I hardly understood it that time but I nodded to assure him. "Moreover, never permit any bully in your school to push you around and make sure you are treated with respect", Dad said again. I remembered all those advises and tried my best to act upon those.
